Riverbank Volkswagen’s success is due to our great service and fantastic customers. We are celebrating our fiftieth anniversary this year and want to take the time to recognize and thank our invaluable customers for their ongoing business. We especially want to thank Tom McNally, our very long time customer and friend. He has been our most loyal customer; ever since moving into this area, in 1973, he has been dedicated to buying all of his cars from us. He has bought eight cars, including a Rabbit convertible, in the span of 36 years. The first car that he had ever bought was an original black Volkswagen Beetle, which he called his “little black beetle,” back in 1958 with a price tag of $975.00. He loved his little bug and has been driving Volkswagens ever since! He has been happily coming back to us for purchasing new cars and for our great service. Mr. Tom McNally refers to the Riverbank Volkswagen team as his friends. He loves coming back. Bill Williams, like all of our sales personnel, was dedicated to finding Tom’s “true match.” Mr. Tom McNally has been coming back to the same sales person for many years to the point where he would come through the door and Bill would instantaneously have the perfect car in mind for him; the greatest part of it all was that it was the car the he always ended up loving and buying. Bill Williams was Mr. Tom McNally’s sales person and friend for many years. Although Bill is no longer with us, his driving spirit still lives in Riverbank’s lore. His picture hangs proudly in our conference room. Mr. Tom McNally drove a GTI at the age of 89 and had recently come in for his 30,000 mile car inspection. He LOVED the feel, power, and control while being behind the wheel of a Volkswagen. Tom said, “My car is very important to me.” He always felt the urge to take a drive every morning no matter the weather. We are very grateful and proud to have had Tom McNally as our customer and more importantly our friend. JMK
